What You’re All About
It all started when…
I’ve always had a deep interest in natural health and caring for others. From a young age, I volunteered with young people around issues like substance use, sexual health, and mental health. My own struggles with severe migraines and anxiety led me to seek complementary therapies, which I found incredibly helpful. This personal experience sparked my passion to study in this field.
In 2006, I completed a one-year Holistic Therapies Diploma, and soon after, I worked at Neal’s Yard Remedies as a Senior Sales Assistant and in-store Holistic Practitioner. I loved being part of such an ethical, organic company, working with herbs, essential oils, and, most importantly, connecting with people.
I then followed my second passion: Youth and Community Work. During this time, I completed a placement in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and volunteered with the Tsunami Volunteer Centre in Thailand. I later worked full-time with young people at a youth-centred charity and a sexual health charity. This work was deeply fulfilling, as I helped young people identify the changes they wanted to make in their lives. I also worked at various music festivals across the UK, including Glastonbury and Big Green Gathering.
In 2012, I left the UK to travel, heading to Australia with a one-way ticket. In Melbourne, I worked with a charity, and in Byron Bay, I offered massage therapy at outdoor events and markets. Over the next seven years, I traveled, worked, and volunteered around the world. I taught English in various countries, worked in hospitality, and deepened my massage therapy practice. Some of the most memorable experiences include hiking the Himalayas, working on an organic farm in Japan, and assisting at a youth homeless harm reduction shelter in Canada. I also worked as a massage therapist at a Whitewater rafting and yoga resort, where I provided massage therapy for guests and taught yoga.
I feel incredibly fortunate to have spent seven years traveling the world, working in charity, youth work, and holistic health, blending all my passions together. I also completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Indonesia, which deepened my love for yoga, hiking, traveling, and meeting new people. I enjoy sharing experiences, learning new things, drinking tea, and having good chats.
Now, I’m back in Yorkshire, where I have a studio in Burley in Wharfedale and work from a yoga studio in Headingley, Leeds. My space offers a safe, holistic environment where you can experience the calming benefits of massage. Whether you need time to reflect, reset your mind and body, or reduce stress, anxiety, or sleep issues, my treatments are here to support you.
My main focus is offering pregnancy massage and supporting women throughout their pregnancy journey, including the postnatal period. After going through pregnancy and the postnatal experience myself, I felt drawn to working with women during such a vulnerable and transformative time.
One of my most memorable experiences was offering massage at the London Marathon, where I heard incredible stories of facing adversity through running. It was truly inspiring. I’ve also had the honor of offering massage at a palliative care hospice, supporting both patients and their families. These experiences deeply moved me.
